Worship Director
Job Overview
The Worship Director, in consultation with the Senior Pastor, will oversee and lead Sunday morning music and A/V needs for the Sunday services of Mission Church. *This position has the potential to grow into a pastoral role for the qualified candidate*
- Work with the Senior Pastor to plan and coordinate excellent worship gatherings
- Learn, utilize, and keep up-to-date Planning Center Services
- Lead and develop current worship team and recruit new worship volunteers
- Coordinate Sunday morning A/V volunteers and recruit new A/V volunteers
- Become a member of Mission Church and participate in regular church rhythms
Job Description
Character and Competencies
- Fulfills the character and qualifications of a deacon as outlined in 1 Timothy 3:8-13
- Possesses a genuine love for the local church, and a desire to invest in Mission Church
- Musically and vocally qualified
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities – previous worship leadership experience desired
- Ability to plan and organize services and coordinate volunteers
- Attention to detail
- A self-starter
- A team player with a positive attitude.
Part-time (15-20 hours/week)
- Reports to: Senior Pastor
- Pay: Salary ($18,000/year)
